On this episode I talk to highly respected interactive fiction writer and active community member Emily Short. We talk about what exactly distinguishes interactive fiction, the different subsets of its still highly active community and how it's evolved over the years. This features a lengthy discussion about the advantages and drawbacks of the community diversifying and becoming more accessible to more people over the years, and some of the hurdles of preserving these works. We also touch on some of her background getting into IF and her own works, as well as her favorite works by others in recent years.
